Our Aims
Facilitating dialogue between performers
One of our goals is to facilitate dialogue between Hungarian and foreign folk performers. This dialogue not only serves to strengthen understanding and cooperation between different cultures, but is also an important tool for the preservation and promotion of Hungarian folk art.
Organizing cultural events
The association organises tanchazes (Hungarian ceilidhs), folk music concerts, folk music and dance workshops for children and adults. We select from different areas of Hungarian folk art, so that participants can get a more complete picture of folk tradition.
Promoting Hungarian folk culture
Folktone Productions promotes Hungary as the home of folk cultural diversity. Hungarian folk art is rich and varied, and we want the world to know more about it. The promotion of folk art contributes to the increasing appreciation of Hungarian culture.
Fulfilling folk art association tasks
Folktone Productions performs a number of tasks to support Hungarian folk performers, such as the submitting of grant proposals, locating new performance opportunities, folk music and dance workshops and organising Hungarian folk art camps. Support for folk artists is essential for the preservation and promotion of folk art.
Organizing folk art camps
We believe that folk art camps are important tools for preserving and passing on Hungarian folk traditions. The camps help young people and adults to learn about the values of Hungarian folk art, which contributes to the Hungarian folk art becoming more widely known and consequently better preserved.
Preserving our folk heritage
Folktone Productions strives to preserve and pass on Hungarian folk heritage in collected and written form. The association’s performances are based on original collections, thus presenting the traditions of Hungarian folk music, folk dance, and folk art in a credible manner.

Folktone Productions is a non-profit association that aims to preserve and promote Hungarian folk art. The association organizes a variety of events and programs that showcase different aspects of Hungarian traditional folk art.
