DunAvon Turns 5 – Growing Stronger Together
Szerző: Tamás Ferencz5 months ago Last Saturday, we celebrated the 5th anniversary of the DunAvon Dance Ensemble. More than just a milestone, it was a reflection of the journey we’ve shared – full of rehearsals, performances, friendship, laughter and learning.
I still remember that very first coffee meeting with Dia Szeidler-Lednitzky, when we started to dream up what this could become. Just a few weeks later, with the arrival of Andrea Szabó and the joining of Gábor Mihály Horváth, the group was born – then known as the Bristol Hungarian Folk Dance Ensemble.
Since then, as DunAvon, we’ve grown together, performed together, and created something meaningful and lasting.
And at the very end of our anniversary gala night, when the audience gave us a long and heartfelt round of applause – it all came rushing back. The memories. The work. The joy. I was completely swept up in the moment. My eyes filled with tears.
Thank you for your trust. Thank you for the full house.
To our families and friends – Thank you for your ongoing support, your help behind the scenes, and your encouragement not just at this gala, but over the entire past five years.
Dear DunAvon – Thank you for your perseverance, your humility, your dedication, and your ever-growing passion. I truly hope we’ll stay together for many more years to come.
